How to, and trouble-shooting

On this page I will hopefully explain the various windows you may see in downloading and viewing of different files. Scroll down and look for the window that you did not understand.

The download window

When you download, this window prompts you save a file

 Save in:

window at the top shows you where the file is going.

Save file as  type:

Leave this as the default

Just click 

Save

The file will begin to download

If you see this window just click on

Save File...

The next window you will see is the download window above. Save the song to your computer,  then use the media player to open it for the type of file it is. For example if it is Mp3 use the winamp player to hear the sounds

If you see this click ok and go back to the page you were on. You probably need to RIGHT click the song button to save the file to your computer.

You will see a pop up menu. Choose the folowing

Save link as...

If you use Netscape

Save target as...

If you use Internet Explorer

Click on the approprate one and you will get the download window at the top of this page

When you click on a .WAV file you will prabably see this window. Do not panic you did everything corect and you just need to wait. There is no other indicator of  of the file actually being downloaded, but it is. Use the file size to guess how long you have to wait.

Once the file is downloaded you will see this box. This means the sound is ready to be played. It will either play automatically or click on the play arrow to hear it. You can only play the song. If you RIGHT click you can save the song to your computer

This is the Winamp Mp3 player. Click the up arrow on the bottom right to find the song on your computer. It will be in the directory you downloaded it to.
