What is Mp3 ?

Mp3 is an audio compression format that when used at 10 to 1, still keeps the audio in CD quality. This means that a 4 minute song that would normally be about 40 megabytes in size is now only 4 megabytes.

Yes, 4 megabytes is still large, but on my site you can now down load a complete song for free and it sounds as good as a CD!.

You will need to download the winamp player below to hear the Mp3 music!

I use 2 different types of MP3 compression. For complete songs I use 10 to 1. For the shorter samples I use 25 to1. The sound is not quite as good, but I figured for a 1 minute sample 400K file size would be a reasonable download time for a sample

If the song title is followed by a red (s) it is a shorter sample. If you see a (CD) symbol the song is a full length CD quality audio file.
